This means that we have walked ourselves the tricky road from first idea for a company to successful exits. We have experience in hands-on designing and launching 50+ game titles, raising more than 125m USD in financing or recruiting more than 100 game developers, designers and artists. We have worked 30+ years in gaming and intend to work many more.

Founding Partner of Play Ventures. He previously co-founded Nonstop Games which was acquired by King for US$32m+ earnout.
Henric has over 16 years of experience building mobile games and studios around the world. Before co-founding Nonstop Games in Singapore, Henric was Product Management Director at Digital Chocolate (Helsinki and Barcelona) and Head of Studio at Wooga (Berlin). After King’s acquisition of Nonstop Games, Henric served as Senior Creative Director at King.
Henric also has a successful portfolio of angel investments in gaming including Huuuge Games, Futureplay Games, Traplight Games, Matchmade, Omniata (acquired by King), DataTiger (acquired by Apple) and Astralis Group (IPO on Nasdaq). In total, his investments have raised >$125M of venture financing and made 5 exits + 1 IPO.
Henric is based in Singapore and frequently travels to the main gaming hubs in Europe and the US. He holds double masters’ degrees in Computer Science and Business.
Harri Manninen is a Founding Partner of Play Ventures and invests in the best gaming entrepreneurs and teams globally. He previously co-founded Rocket Pack, which was acquired by Disney in 2011. He is also the co-founder of Matchmade (Shark Punch), the leading influencer marketing platform for games.
Harri’s angel investment portfolio includes several startups in the gaming and technology space, including Mighty Bear Games, Starberry Games, Matchmade, Vizor Bloom, FitXR, and Transfluent. Harri also built Nordic XR Startups pre-seed accelerator in Helsinki, with partners gumi and Nordisk Film, where he led investments into 10 early stage Nordic VR/AR startups.
Based in Singapore. She consults for gaming companies like Mighty Bear Games and has 8 years experience leading marketing and growth. She has worked for startups including Voice Labs, Homage, Ethnicraft Online (now rebranded as Soul & Tables), as well as for the Singapore Economic Development Board.
Anton Backman is a Venture Partner at Play Ventures and supports the partners in deal sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio support. Before Play Ventures, he was the co-founder and CEO of Wave Ventures, the Nordics’ first student-run venture capital fund. Prior to that, he co-managed investor operations at Slush and worked for a major Nordic law firm. Anton is currently finalising his LL.M. degree at the University of Helsinki.
